Bach-Humbug!
A Holiday Show for People Who Hate the Holidays
Sunday, December 8th
The Redwood Theatre
1300 Gerrard St East
Dec 8th Xmas, while a joyful season for some, is not for others. This show is for them. This show is for us. Bach-Humbug will have no gimmicks (we blew our budget on the circus people).
No bells and whistles besides the usual vocal Olympic fireworks and guaranteed laughs and tears to keep your spirits up this holiday season. If your family is in town and driving you crazy, bring them here so you have something to talk about. Family can also be people you choose outside your kinfolk. Like the community Opera Revue is building. Join our little cult.
Is this show kid friendly? We’ll try to keep the cussing to a minimum. But this time of year f$*&king suuucks because of the dark/cold and overdose of Maria Carey on the radio.
So Come All Ye Faithful and witness our cathartic concert. And bring your non-perishables! We will be hosting a food drive for whoever that food bank was last year with the cute firemen (Daily Bread Food Bank).
Featuring music carefully curated to satisfy your seasonal skepticism, the night will include such holiday hits as The Grinch, Blue Christmas, Oh Holy Night and probably something in Latin and German because of our clever title/pun.
Featuring the Opera Revue “band”
Danie Friesen - Soprano
Alexander Hajek - Baritone
Claire Elise Harris - Piano
Big thank you to our sponsor Cidel Private Bank for supporting the arts!
